Overview

We are seeking an experienced Identity and Access Management (IAM) Specialist to join our team. As an IAM Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining user access to IT systems within our organization. Your primary focus will be on establishing and enforcing protocols to authenticate and authorize users, ensuring the security of critical information. This role requires expertise in implementing IAM policies, managing user roles, and ensuring compliance with security regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain IAM policies and procedures to ensure secure access to systems and data.
• Manage user identities and control access to critical systems and applications.
• Monitor, review, and audit access logs to ensure compliance with security policies.
• Identify and resolve access-related issues, troubleshooting identity and access management systems.
• Collaborate with security and IT teams to ensure appropriate levels of access control.
• Maintain role-based access control (RBAC) policies and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Implement multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions for enhanced security.
• Provide end-user training on IAM policies and best practices for secure access management.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in IAM technology and security protocols.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOX.

Requirements and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Identity and Access Management or a similar security role.
• Strong understanding of IAM protocols, tools, and technologies (e.g., SSO, MFA, LDAP, RBAC).
• Experience with IAM systems such as Okta, Microsoft Azure AD, SailPoint, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with security compliance standards (e.g., ISO, GDPR, HIPAA, SOX).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple IAM projects and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and emerging trends in identity and access management.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or IAM-specific credentials are a plus.
